LEAD THE WAY TO A LOW-CARBON FUTURE

At Hardscape we believe that climate change demands urgent and universal action. The Hardscape Group is proud to be joining more than 2,000 businesses working with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to reduce their emissions in line with climate science.

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) drives ambitious climate action in the private sector by enabling companies to set science-based emissions reduction targets.

The SBTi is a partnership between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World-Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

The latest climate science sends a clear warning that we must dramatically curb temperature rise to avoid the catastrophic impacts of climate change.  Science-based targets show companies how much and how quickly they need to reduce their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to prevent the worst effects of climate change.

The SBTi is the lead partner of the Business Ambition for 1.5°C campaign – an urgent call to action from a global coalition of UN agencies, business and industry leaders, mobilising companies to set net-zero science-based targets in line with a 1.5°C future.

The Hardscape Group has committed to reduce scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 46% by 2030 from a 2019 base year, and to also measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions.

Hardscape’s net-zero science-based targets have been independently approved and validated through the SBTi using the target validation route exclusive to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
