Escofet street furniture utilises design to transform cities and promote the use of public space, with ranges that address simple, practical needs, through to stunning pieces that move beyond function and into sculptural centrepieces.
The Sit collection consists of a rock bench supplied in two different sizes to which rock backs can be added, in two different sizes. Apart from its attractive appearance which invites users to sit and rest, its most important feature is its ergonomic design that converts the elements into comfortable urban seats.
Sit was created as the natural evolution of Sócrates, a classic Escofet model. First came the bench and then the cube. We instantly and naturally produce the backs to add singularity and offer a more extensive use.
The Sit design is based on the idea of producing site furnishings with a soft texture and rounded shapes that are comfortable and that cannot easily be associated with any particular historical period. Thanks to the pliability of its design, similar to a soft rock but with a forceful geometry, Sit can blend naturally into any setting.
Non-reinforced dry-mix concrete. The short and long backs are supplies assembled to the benches with M16 through bolts. Simply resting on the ground, supported by its own weight and with no need for anchors.
Etched and waterproofed Concrete.
