Congratulations to Urban Vision for winning the Pedestrian Environment category award in this years Local Government News Design Awards for revitalised Chapel Street that links the University of Salford and The Crescent to a new high quality environment for living, working and relaxing, with a vibrant and distinctive collection of shops, cafes and leisure opportunities.

The overall aim was to create a major expansion of the region’s commercial centre within the old city of Salford to meet the needs of key business sectors, including the financial and professional services.

Bexley Square was also the subject of public realm enhancements during 2010 which featured new paving and lighting alongside new street furniture to create a more attractive setting for the listed former town hall. Hardscape supplied Kellen and granite paving to the scheme.
