A VIP preview and practice evening for Manchester School of Architecture’s MA in Landscape Architecture took place on Wednesday 5th October at the Link Gallery and Fourth Floor Benzie Building at Manchester Metropolitan University.
The event, sponsored by Hardscape, showcased the work of graduating full and part-time students alongside work from landscape architecture practices, located in the northwest of England.
Former LI president Sue Illman and Planit-IE Managing Partner, Peter Swift, both delivered keynote speeches. Selected MA students also presented their work.
The event was a good opportunity, said LINW, for practitioners to meet fellow professionals and gain an insight into the extensive range of work in progress in the North West. ‘It also provides an opportunity to view project work completed by MA students, which, through the agency of landscape urbanism, explores innovative design ideas in response to many of the global and local issues that confront landscape architects today.’
