Sócrates is a prism with a compact volume that is self-standing, with a sunken baseboard that overcomes geometric accuracy while allowing it to levitate. A bench for occasional use, in artificial stone, with formal characteristics and a pure geometry that convert it into an individual landmark that organises and brings hierarchy to space.
Sócrates is a landmark that evokes an altar, but its height, materials and situation offer passers-by the option of stopping awhile, as if resting on a stone along their way or at the threshold of a door. Rigorous and simple in its formulation, Sócrates belongs to the new generation of neutral, abstract elements for universal use.
The Sócrates bench is made from concrete, with a brilliant, water-repellent, polished finish or etched and waterproofed. Colour in accordance with the standard finish colour chart. Self-standing on the paving. It also has two anchoring points to prevent its displacement.
