In September 2022 Alex was appointed as the new Managing Director of the Hardscape Group. Having served as Operations Director since 2013, his involvement throughout the business and broad skill set, makes him the perfect choice to lead the Group into a new era, while continuing to embody the energy and passion Mathew instilled in every aspect of the business for decades.

A law graduate, Alex originally joined Hardscape in 2002 as a Logistics Co-ordinator and having progressed internally through the ranks to General Manager in 2004, became Group Operations Director in 2013 responsible for directing and management of all matters of operations such as execution of orders and administration. Additionally, Alex is responsible for the Group’s Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives including our duty and commitment to the net zero campaign.

As well as being a family man, outside of Hardscape Alex is still a keen footballer, playing socially though these days. When time and weather also permit, he can be found hitting the slopes with his snowboard.
