Hardscape recently sponsored a lphp6C.tmp1230ecture given by Wayne Hemingway at Oxford University. The event, held in March, was organised by The BOB-MK Design Network, which is a forum for local authority officers to talk about best practice, share challenges and responses, provide mutual assistance and discuss issues of built environment design.

Wayne Hemingway spoke about his key objectives in designing housing developments in the UK and what he feels needs to be done and who needs to be engaged in the development of housing in the future, to ensure that healthy, sustainable, community-orientated houses are developed. The network was set up because this part of the region was becoming isolated through pressures on other areas and is funded by the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) with support from CABE.
