Intelligent, engaging architecture plays an essential role in developing and regenerating the fabric of urban communities, from reducing crime rates and revitalising public spaces to enhancing movement and improving quality of life.
The WAN Urban Design Award 2013 acknowledges the significant contribution that architects, urban designers and city planners have made to both the aesthetic and living conditions of our cities. Open to realised and concept-only projects, this category celebrates design excellence and innovative thinking in several sectors, including landscaping, public realm areas, masterplans, waterfront developments, utility buildings and urban regeneration schemes.
Urban vision requires urban visionaries. So we’ve selected a handful of the most highly esteemed judges to assess the entries, each of whom has considerable experience within this field. Winners can expect to have their work showcased globally to our network of industry players, which often leads to an increase in commissions and commercial partnerships.
If your project has improved the urban infrastructure through transforming the built environment, submit it by 31 October 2013 and see how the WAN Urban Design Award 2013 can build your brand and boost your business.
