Urgent and universal action
At Hardscape we believe that climate change demands urgent and universal action. The Hardscape Group is proud to sign The Climate Pledge. We stand with the other signatories (across 32 industries and 24 countries) of The Climate Pledge, in a commitment to being net zero carbon by 2040 at the latest across Scopes 1, 2 and 3 — ten years ahead of The Paris Agreement. In addition, as a signatory of The Climate Pledge, Hardscape will:
- Measure and report greenhouse gas emissions on a regular basis.
- Implement decarbonisation strategies in line with the Paris Agreement through real business change and innovations, including efficiency improvements, renewable energy, materials reductions, and other carbon emission elimination strategies.
- Take actions to neutralise any remaining emissions with additional, quantifiable, real, permanent, and socially beneficial offsets to achieve net zero annual carbon emissions by 2040.
The Climate Pledge is a commitment to net zero carbon by 2040 that forms a cross-sector community of companies and organisations, working together to crack the climate crisis and solve the challenges of decarbonising our economy. The Climate Pledge was co-founded by Amazon and Global Optimism in 2019.
