Great to see Hardscape featured in the Autumn 2014 edition of Landscape, the Landscape Institute Journal. The article, written by Carolyn Willitts who used to work for Austin-Smith:Lord, the architects involved in the award-winning refurbishment of the Grade II listed Liverpool Central Library and now director of Carolyn Willitts Design, describes in great detail the processes involved from initial conception of the two key landscape elements, the literary carpet and the walling with signage that lines the walkway to the entrance. Hardscape’s Anthony Collins, who worked closely on the project with Carolyn commented “Remember that stone is a natural material that comes out of the ground and has natural imperfections. This is what makes it such a beautiful material to work with”.
