Hardscape Ireland were privileged to have been the Main Headline Sponsor of the Irish Landscape Institute Awards 2020. We were proud to have collaborated so successfully with the ILI and Ireland’s leading landscape architectural practices.

The digital online awards event took place on Thursday 8th of October 2020. This bi-annual event acknowledges landscape architectural skills across the Isle of Ireland and a range of categories from the public realm design to landscape planning and research.

This year’s event was conducted in co-ordination with IFLA Europe and was officiated by ILI President, Kevin Halpenny. With the scale, scope and complexity of the design and construction activity in Ireland, this year’s awards were noted as being the most competitive yet and it was a huge effort on behalf of everyone especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hardscape Ireland were also proud to have sponsored the Public Plaza category with our very own Lowell McCreadie, Ireland Sales Manager, announcing the winners’ Cathal Meara for ‘Entrances to County Cork’ during the presentation. Our Head of Global Supply Chain, Glenn Bradley, also gave a brief presentation to all who attended about Hardscape Ireland’s collaboration with the ILI and its role in the supply and specification of hard landscaping materials in Ireland.

Amongst the winners that Hardscape Ireland supplied materials to were Bernard Seymour landscape architects for their Commended award in the Institutional Landscape category for Christ Church Castle in Dublin and to the Paul Hogarth Company who took away two fantastic awards for the Hillsbrorough Castle and Gardens scheme winning both the Heritage Landscape and Jury Award for Resilience and Climate Change Adaptation categories – not to mention a Highly Commended award for Greystones Public Realm.
