Collaborative Design & Material Selection
Overview
From the early concept stages, Hardscape worked with Camlins and the Ballymore team to ensure the public realm at Embassy Gardens would deliver both aesthetic richness and durable performance. Material sourcing was meticulous: Hardscape facilitated sample visits and factory / quarry trips so the client team could hand-select finishes and colours. Key discussions involved Kobra Green and Royal Grey granites, Westmorland Green cladding, and Garda Quartzitic Indian sandstone, each chosen for their texture, weathering and visual harmony with landscaping and architectural palettes.
Materials Supplied
- Granites: Kobra Green, Royal Grey paving, setts and detailing
- Cladding: Westmorland Green stone for façade and vertical elements
- Sandstone: Garda Quartzitic Indian sandstone for accent features
- Associated components for edges, steps, setting courses, etc.
Outcomes, Legacy and Conclusion
The result is a public realm that feels cohesive, timeless, and robust. Hardscape’s input helped balance practical demands (durability, slip-resistance, maintenance) with Camlins’ vision for inviting, human-scaled urban spaces. The chosen stone materials age well, contribute to place identity, and support the long-term quality of Embassy Gardens as a prestigious riverside neighbourhood.
Conclusion
Embassy Gardens exemplifies what can be achieved when design ambition meets material excellence and careful craftsmanship. Hardscape’s collaboration with Camlins and Ballymore shows that even large-scale regeneration can retain character and quality. By bringing clarity to material selection, facilitating direct sourcing, and delivering high-quality finishes, Hardscape has helped create a public realm that is beautiful today and built to last well into the future.
