Hardscape are bringing together experts in Dutch active travel together as never before, with a UK Roadshow tour.
Calling at Edinburgh, London & Manchester, there’ll be guest speakers, insight, discussions and workshops around how Dutch active travel infrastructure is influencing the UK, the future of active travel and the innovative products that will enable it.
Guest speakers:
Chris Bruntlett, International Relations Manager at the Dutch Cycling Embassy, and co-author the book, “Building the Cycling City: The Dutch Blueprint for Urban Vitality” will be presenting his view of the history of Dutch active travel through to the present day.
Robert Weetman, from ‘Living Streets’, is focused on changes the UK needs to make to its streets, towns & cities so that they become friendly for pedestrians (and cycling), and just decent places to live. He’ll explore the need for learning from Dutch streets and how they have a system more profoundly different than most realise.
They’ll be joined by the Hardscape team, including Mathew Haslam, Anthony Collins, Matt Sier and James Cook, who have decades of experience in UK infrastructure projects, for an overview of the innovative active solutions we can help you deliver.
The event is split into two separate sessions, with Exposed as a morning focussed on presentations from our speakers and for those who wish to learn more about active travel products.
Forum is a limited attendance afternoon of workshop sessions. You can discuss live projects, details of solutions you’re looking for with our team in rotating 30 minute sessions, while networking with other people and companies working the active travel arena.
The workshops will consist of Robert & Chris Q&As where you can pick the brains of some of the most informed people in active travel today, James Cook from Hardscape with 3D visuals and CAD from ongoing projects to inspire you to be part of the AT journey, all supported by the rest of the Hardscape team to advise and help you progress your projects.
