At Hardscape we believe that climate change demands urgent and universal action. The Hardscape Group is proud to sign The Climate Pledge. We stand with the other signatories of The Climate Pledge, in a commitment to being net zero carbon by 2040 at the latest across Scopes 1, 2 and 3 — ten years ahead of The Paris Agreement. In addition, as a signatory of The Climate Pledge, Hardscape will:

  • Measure and report greenhouse gas emissions on a regular basis.
  • Implement decarbonisation strategies in line with the Paris Agreement through real business change and innovations, including efficiency improvements, renewable energy, materials reductions, and other carbon emission elimination strategies.
  • Take actions to neutralise any remaining emissions with additional, quantifiable, real, permanent, and socially beneficial offsets to achieve net zero annual carbon emissions by 2040.

The Climate Pledge is a commitment to net zero carbon by 2040 that forms a cross-sector community of companies and organisations, working together to crack the climate crisis and solve the challenges of decarbonising our economy. The Climate Pledge was co-founded by Amazon and Global Optimism in 2019.

By joining The Climate Pledge, Hardscape are reinforcing their commitment to sustainability and are excited to join a community that will share knowledge, ideas and best practices.

International Organisation for Standardisation

Hardscape is committed to producing quality products, whilst minimising our environmental impact. To this end we operate an Integrated Management System which is externally certified by a UKAS approved accreditation panel to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environment).

We are committed to preventing pollution, promoting sustainable resource use and to complying with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and other environmental requirements.  We regularly evaluate the environmental impact of our activities, products and services and take action to continually improve our environmental performance.

We do so by defining environmental targets and regularly evaluating their progress.

We are committed to providing relevant environmental training and promoting environmental awareness to our employees, and all relevant stake holders, and communicating our environmental performance with them. This concern for our environment runs right through the organisation from recycling the water in our saw production, to managing our waste streams, to offering products that have high degrees of recycled content like our Kellen CERO range.
