Having spent several years in sales and account management in the commercial printing industry, David joined Hardscape in July 2006 at its head office in Bolton, Lancashire, as the Group’s Marketing Manager, spearheading and developing all of its marketing activities from the newly formed role and department. He graduated from the Manchester Metropolitan University in 2000 with a BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Design.

In June 2022, as part of an initiated growth and expansion program within the marketing department, David became the Group’s Brand Manager being responsible for adapting brand strategy and brand integrity across all company marketing initiatives and communications for Hardscape and sister company IP Surfaces to maintain and manage their portfolio of products and services. His role incorporates developing customer and trend strategies that defines brand perception, overseeing specifically product and website development, project photography, advertising, design, events and social channels.

Assisting the Senior Marketing Manager, David provides marketing support and resource specifically to the national sales team, bringing a creative influence to company strategy and vision and ensures that the Group and its brands are perceived professionally and maintain a high profile within their own industry and commercial sectors. His role also involves assisting in managing a department that encompasses all aspects of digital media, researching new market opportunities, planning for external events and collaborating with corporate partners’ The Landscape Institute, a chartered body for the landscape profession. Additionally, dealing with full-service creative design agencies and commercial printing companies in their important roles to source commodities, assets, ideas and support to aid the full marketing aspects and commitments of the Group.

Away from work David loves travelling and spending time with his family; is an avid Manchester United fan and a keen petrol head who loves all things motorsport, especially all formulas of Rallycross, WRC and Karting. As a self-confessed curryholic he regularly resists therapy to be converted back to plain old mincemeat, carrots and mash.
