With its beautiful coastlines, breathtaking landscapes and unique culture, Scotland is a country renowned for its rich heritage and majestic landscapes.

aidan-2Hardscape has been working in the region for over 20 years, collaborating with landscape architects, designers and local authorities to bring visionary projects to life.

Home to chic art nouveau buildings, stunning public art features such as The Kelpies and historic monuments including Edinburgh castle, the country offers plenty to admire when it comes to design and architecture.

Hardscape gave Dundee’s Waterfront a makeover as part of a £1 billion flagship project, supplying various granites to create a beautifully inviting space for the high volume of pedestrian traffic.

aidan-1Another significant Scottish scheme includes a student accommodation transformation in Dunaskin Street, Glasgow using Hardscape’s Kellen Breccia in a complex herringbone laying pattern to create a unique and aesthetically pleasing design. Similarly, Kellen Breccia and Liscio were used to re-vamp the iconic Glasgow City Campus.

oban-1-hdrMore recently, Hardscape helped to adorn west coast resort town, Oban, with a stunning new waterfront to welcome its visitors and establish a focal point for marine-based activity. Magma granite paving brightened up the pathways in orange and red tones, as well glittering Prima Porphyry and Burlington walling.

To demonstrate Hardscape’s commitment to the Scottish market, Scotland Sales Manager, Aidan Baun, now permanently resides in the heart of Edinburgh, allowing him to generate new partnerships and strengthen existing relationships, with a view of further expanding the team in the region in the near future.

aidanArmed with a plethora of hard landscaping expertise and material knowledge, Aidan is set to help the company work in new areas, such as the North of Scotland, while promoting Hardscape’s locally sourced materials.
